# Vortan

> Vortan builds the hardware, connectivity and AI for the machines that run healthcare, energy and water: MediLink, CarbonLink and MajiLink, designed and deployed in-house from Arusha, Tanzania.

Vortan Limited is an engineering company in Arusha, Tanzania. One in-house team designs the electronics and firmware, the connectivity (offline-first, LoRa, cellular, Ethernet) and the software and AI platforms. It runs three products in production and builds custom hardware for clients.
